We are just 6 days away from the start of the Real Food February Challenge. I figured now would be a good time to lay some ground rules. You’ll have a decent amount of time to make plans, clean out the kitchen, and get pumped up. Hopefully you’ll inspire some of your friends and family members to take the challenge with you.
What are the Rules?
Rule #1
You will eat only Real, Unprocessed, Whole Foods for the entire month of February.
Rule #2
You will forget about calories, fat grams, or grams of protein. Your only concern when you choose a food is that it is a REAL food.
Rule #3
You will eat as much as you want of the allowable foods. You won’t worry about portions. You will eat until you are satisfied. If you feel hungry, you must eat.
That’s it!
It’s that simple.
Three little rules. If you eat like most Americans those three little rules can change your life.
If you ever think to yourself – “I just don’t feel as good as I think I can” – I want you to seriously consider taking this challenge. Your health, the way you look, and the way you feel are a result of what goes into your mouth.
The key to health doesn’t come from a bottle of pills. I’m not saying that drugs aren’t sometimes necessary, but drugs are meant to manage disease. They do not create health.
YOU create health with the choices you make. Sometimes things happen that seem beyond our control, but for the most part, the way you feel on a day to day basis is up to you.
The choices you make in the kitchen, have more to do with it than the majority of us realize.
If you want to see what I mean by that, then take the challenge. You have nothing to lose and infinite amounts to gain.
Today I want you to look at those rules.
They aren’t that difficult.
In fact, the last two are downright amazing! If you are a chronic dieter they’re probably a breath of fresh air.
Tomorrow I will give a more detailed list of what you can and can’t eat on the Real Food February Challenge. Today’s assignment is to get comfortable with those rules.
That should be pretty easy!
